Amazing!

Keeping the spirit of NG alive there, huh?

Up untill now I've always thought the front page was meant for movies that showed talent. Sure, some pop up once in a while that lack talent but are in some way unique just plain funny.

Too bad that's not the case right now.

I have a hard time believing, well actually I don't because I know it's bullshit, but this would've never made front page if you weren't working for NG. Seriously, this movie (for lack of a better suiting name) lacks pretty much everything it can miss to make a great movie, so why would anyone put it on the front page? It's not even funny!

Great submission get lost in the portal while at the same time this shit takes it's rightful place. Do you think that's worth it? You having a few laughs because this bullshit is on the frontpage and people complaint about it, while at the same time a movie that someone worked on for weeks or months is overlooked?

I'll give you 3 stars for the qualities you've shown us in this movie:
- You can talk and record it: go you!
- You can tween shapes (that's an underrated quality)!
- Bonus point for actually getting me to write this!

I'm not expecting a serious reply to this so just go ahead, be yourself, and write something about dicks or something (because that would be terribly original!).

Love,

Vincoid.

JohnnyUtah responds:

another SERIOUS SAM...

anyways I WOULD make a dick joke, as that would be more original than your oblivious rant here. not everything revolves around ART and ANIMATION.

there's plenty of well drawn and animated stuff on this site that's also TERRIBLE. movies you no doubt gave high scores to, because you're a pinhead.

Amazing!

Damn I enjoyed that!

Animation was smooth and enjoyable as always, just like your use of color.

I have to ask you though, what is going on with all the Nazi and Hitler stuff in your movies. I enjoy it, but I'm wondering why you put it in there (though it's obvious why it is in this one).

Gotta say that I love the tiny little things in your movies though. For example, in this movie, right in the beginning, the oven full of burning Jews. Not that I have anything against Jewish people or anything, but it's just on eof those tiny details that add to the feel of the entire animation.

I also like how 'Santa' doesn't look like any other Santa I've ever seen. Another one of those things that make your animations so unique.

Catoblepas responds:

they're just fun to add. it's the simplest, most offensive logo that's easy to hide.

Damn right!

This is like an acid trip gone wrong!

Great colors as usual, awesome animation, very enjoyable and funny too.

Thought the whole topic about the Harlequin was great, and even though you animated a lot of things around it that didn't quite fit in that topic, I loved every single moment of it.

I've always been more of a fan of the 'mainstream' animation, simply because that's all I ever saw. Thanks to your animations and Zekey's animation posts, I'm beginning to appreciate these kinds of animations more and more.
I mean, you can say whatever you want, from how sick you must be to how damaging this is to kids (they'e warned), but you can't deny you have great animating skill.

Amazing game

Simple, entertaining, fun but unfortunately also bugged.

I really like this game and I've been playing it non-stop all the way through the end of the bonus chapter. I was a sad little boy when I refreshed this page though and found out I had only received the medals for the first 4 chapters.

I'm not taking any points off because the game is simply amazing and bugs in the medals are no reason to deduct points.

However, one other bug you should take a look at; when I tried to play the game again to see if the medal bug was a temporary problem, I pressed play and the screen turned gray. The game won't play for me anymore (except for map editor; medal still bugged).

I'm sure you're going to fix all of this soon. And besides these issues, I think you've created one of the most entertaining and challenging games yet this year. I just wish I didn't have to play through the last levels again for the medals :P

(seriously, the last chapter and bonus chapter are true tests of patience and anger management!)

Dandy indeed

I loved this game. I was excited to play it, seeing as I always love seeing your artwork.

The gameplay was great. Controls were really easy, just like the game.

The only one thing I didn't really like about the game was that it was really easy. I expected the levels to become incleasingly different, but instead they became easier. I was even invincible in the last level.

As for other issues, the score didn't show for me. The counter was on 00000 during the whole game, except for the bonus levels.
Second issue was the frog boss. I floated right in front of him, just above his tungue. This way he couldn't hit me, so I could defeat it easily and without trouble.

Other than that I really enjoyed it.

Great stuff

This game is awesome. The gameplay is really simple, but the game itself was pretty tricky at first. Great graphics of course ;)

Only possible improvement I can think of is a quicker upgrade to the pink knight. It's a hilarious one but quite tricky to get because 'The Beard' is almost always defeated before you get to 950 points.

Other than that, I hope Tom finishes Castle Crashers soon so I can buy it.

Great job guys ;)

BoMToons responds:

We kind of wanted the pink knight as a pseudo-secret, so balanced the gameplay so you can only get him if you REALLY try.

Awesome!

Amazing song man, really nice!

I've always loved classical music and this is no exception. I especially like the intro building up the tension, as well as the overall feeling of this song.
I like how this is kind of evil and upbeat at the same time :)

Only thing I thought could be better was the singing. Not so much the singing itself, but when the humming voices halfway and at the end of the song start, they don't go well with the music as if it's a seperate thing. It doesn't quite blend in at first.

Other than that I think this song is amazing. I'm also going to be using this music for an upcoming project which should come out in a few weeks.

Fantastic

I'm currently checking out music for a project I'll be working on for the next 5 months. Classical music like this being my favorite kind to use in movies, I'm glad I checked this out.

This piece is brilliant. I love how it builds up, gives a real feeling of tension and excitement which is magnified even more because of the amazing vocals.

Only thing that could be improved on, as Holydrainer already mentioned, is the bass, or lack there of.

But still, I've added some of your compositions to my favorites, and seeing as you're a brilliant musician with very little pieces here on NG, I'm also adding you to my favorite musicians.

As for the project, I'm pretty sure I'll be using this piece. This will add a lot to the quality of the movie, so thanks in advance. I'll send you a PM once the movie starts to take shape (about a month from now) and when I finish it.

Keep up the good work ;)

- Vincoid

paradoxphenomena responds:

Thank you for taking an interest in my pieces and helping to get it out there to the public. Its not everyday that someone helps to promote the work of others. I've also heard from a few others about the lack of bass with which I quite agree and will work on. I appreciate you taking the time to review.

In addition, its a pleasure to hear that you will be using this piece in your upcoming project. I will be looking forward to to hearing from you in the coming months.

Holy shit

That was awesome. Something very different from most of the music here on Newgrounds, and I must say I enjoyed it.

You have an awesome voice.

Only things keeping me from giving this a perfect 10 are the cracks (though that's probably not your fault) and the fact that some sentences sound as if they are spoken more than sung because they're too fast.

Got to check out more of your music, see ya.

Cayler responds:

Thanks, it's good to see honesty in criticism. The cracks are a problem and pretty much not fixable. I agree about the words being sung bad here and there, I didn't do a lot of rerecording of the vocals like I usually do. I hope you like the rest of my music. :)
